Thomson Beaten in Gelf.— Australians most improved goiter. Alan Murray, aged 21. won the £l9OO Victorian open golf championship yesterday. Murray, a Sydney professional, had final rounds of 73 and 72 for an aggregate of 290. to win bv four strokes from Peter, Thomson, who finished with a 74, 73.—Melbourne, October 1.
