Lewis, physical education officer at the University of Canterbury, yesterday. Mr Lewis, who has just returned from refresher leave in Britain and on the Continent, said he had noted with interest the development of degree and dipioma courses in physical education at Australian universities. “With the present acute shortage of physical education teachers in New Zealand we would do well to consider additional courses at the university level.” he said. “It would be a move in keeping with world trends.”
