Auckland B Wins
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 3. The Auckland Rugby B team finished strongly to beat Combined Services by 14 points (two tries converted and two penalty goals) to 8 (a converted try and a try) at Eden Park on Saturday. Auckland B led, 3-0, at half-time, and with 10 minutes left was ahead, 6-3. The Services still had a good chance of taking the lead. Towards the end, however, the Auckland forwards and backs took control and for Auckland R. Cashmore kicked two penalty goals and converted one try. The tries were scored by the wings, R. Mincham and R. Tamati. For Combined Services R. Blockley and D. Stephen scored tries one of which was converted by I. Rasmussen.
