FOUR YOUTHS ARRESTED
Alleged Attack On Girl Two youths, aged 16. and two youths, aged 17. arrested in the city on Saturday afternoon, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning on charges of raping a 19-yeer-old girl in an isolated spot near Waimairi beach early on Saturday morning. The girl's companion, a man, aged 22, was ordered from the car and was allegedly threatened The tyres of their car were slashed and the wiring torn out to immobilise the vehicle The couple had to walk to a telephone box where they rang a taxi The pohce were informed of the incident at 330 a m and inquiries were begun immediately by Detectives R Crooks and J Marshall and Detective-Constable J Phelan.
