Yesberg In Final (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Sept. 1. Two Canterbury plavers, T Yesberg. the title-holder, and R. Franks,, and two Auckland players, B. Clapham and W Cullen, survived the penultimate day of the national snooker championships today, each with one life. Today both Franks and Yesberg began with two Uves. Franks beat Yesberg in four frames in Ute first match of the dav. Results were:— Franks beat Yesberg. 58-21. 36-52. 57-41. 55-33; Cullen beat R. King (Auckland). 36-61. 6241. 69-17. 55-23; Clapham beat L. Glozier (Southland), 74-12.
