N.Z. Ice-Skating Titles Completed At Tekapo

TIMARU. July 16. The 1901 New Zealand iceskating championships—started at Manorbum last week-end and transferred to Tekapo this week-end—were completed on a splendid sheet of ice at Albury on Saturday. A team of 20 worked fob some hours on Friday evening to bring the ice up to championship condition. Competition was so keen that it took more than an hour to decide the final points in the 14-strong junior girls' championship. There were some particularly fine , demonstrations of free skating, and a fairly large crowd saw some thrilling finishes in the speed events. The judges were Mesdames D.
