Merivale Church Bookings
Since the new parish buildings of the St, Mary's Church, Merivale. were officially opened last April a number of city church and welfare groups have used the new facilities. Among them have been the Friends of St George's Hospital, the Christchurch Aged People’s Welfare Council, the Red Cross Society, and the British Sailors* Society.
Some applications for bookings had had to be ieclined because the dates sought coincided with previous bookings of the home church, Mr J. C. Cotterill, a member of the church building committee, said yesterday. The church was, however, anxious to meet all worth-while requests as soon as possible.
