Obituary MR T. R. BURT
Mr Thomas Ross Burt, who died in Napier yesterday at the age of 88, was a son of the founder of the Christchurch plumbing and engineering firm of A. and T. Burt and Company, Ltd., which will celebrate its centennial next year. He was an early pupil of Canterbury Agricultural College and one of the first pupils at the Engineering School of Canterbury University College. After qualifying as an engineer he joined his father's firm, was its London representative for some time, then manager of the Wellington branch and finally branch manager at Invercargill until his retirement. Mr Burt lived in retirement in Christchurch for some years before going to Napier to live. He is survived by two daughters.
