Aus. Gypsum Shares To British Plaster
Australian Gypsum Industries, Ltd.. Will allot 1.000,000 5s ordinary shares at a premium of 7s a share to British Plaster Board (Holdings), Ltd., of London. An agreement between the two companies provides for the free exchange of research and development information and for the use of patents. The British Plaster Board is the largest producer of gypsum and plaster products in the United Kingdom and has subsidiaries or associated companies in Canada. South Africa. Southern Rhodesia, Eire, Sweden, Belgium, Italy and France.
British Paints Buy.—British Paints (Holdings), Ltd., has acquired all shares in Selley’s Chemical Manufacturing Company, Pty., Ltd., of Marrickvllle, a western Sydney suburb. In 8 deal worth about £500,000 The price was satisfied by the issue of 400.000 British Paints shares of 4s each. The Selley organisation has manufacturing plants in Melbourne and Sydney. and operates in all states -N.Z.P.A.
