Sir, —Hav.ng occasion to visit Methven, Mid-Canter- 1 bury, for the past nine years. I was surprised to see no improvement in the shopping area, which .is the junction of six roads. Surely the icounty can do something to rectify this death trap, especially for children crossing the roads. I would sug- ' igest compulsory stops or painted pedestrian crossings.
