Sir, —One or two people may be interested in a few examples of the new scale of disablement and war widows pensions <ex-regular officers) approved by the British Minister of Pensions : as from April 1 and acknowj ledged in the “Pennant.” official organ of the Officers I Pensions Society. London, as .[•■generous increases.” Annual rates are quoted: Exofficers. 100 per cent disabled, get a basic increase of £34. with education allowance raised to £ 120; constant attendance allowance up to a maximum of £208; clothing allowance up to £l2; and unemployability supplement raised to £164. Newmaximum rates for widows under 70 are: lieutenant’s. £321; major's £363; brigadier s, £533; with some £3O added if over 70. £B3 is allowed for each child ' I and there is a new grant. [ rent allowance, of 29s a week 1 for widows and children. 1 Yours, etc.. I
