MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SATURDAY (Before Messrs W. A. Calwell and C. D. Sealey. Justices of the Peace). REMANDED
Stanley Patrick Delaney, aged 21. a workman, was remanded to March 23 on charges of behaving in a disorderly manner in Seaview road, New Brighton, on Friday evening. He pleaded not guilty to the first charge and guiity to the second. He was granted bail at £5O with one surety of £5O and was ordered to report daily to the police. David Leslie Donohue, aged 18 (Mr R. J. de Goldi), was remanded to March 23 on a charge of unlawfully taking a motor-cycle, valued at £lO5, the property of Alistair Greet, on Friday night. He was granted bail at £5O with one surety of £5O and was ordered to report daily to the police. Leonard Joseph Nuss, aged 21, a machinist’s mate from the U.S.S. Arneb berthed at Lyttelton, was remanded until today on a charge of assaulting Lionel Thomlinson at Christchurch on Friday. He pleaded not guilty. Nuss was remanded in csutody of the officers of the Arneb. Senior Sergeant G M. Cleary said witnesses were not available.
