“PRO-SOVIET BIAS”
Accusation Against Dr. Linus Pauling c (N Z P.A -Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, March 17. A United States Senate sub-committee has accused the Nobel Prize winner. Dr. Linus Pauling, of displaying “consistent pro-Soviet bias.” The Senate investigators, comprising a group of the Senate Judiciary Committee, inquired into a nuclear test ban petition filed bv Dr Pauling with the United Nations on January 15. 1958 This called for an immediate ban on nuclear testing. The sub-committee, which heard testimony from Dr. Pauling twice last year, alleged the petition was exploited by communists as part of the “Kremlin’s fraudulent peace offensive.”
