25 Satellites In Space
(H Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Feb. 19.
Out of nearly 50 satellites and space vehicles sent aloft by the United States and the Soviet Union 25 are sweeping along their paths through space today.
Of these, 21 are orbiting the earth, three are in orbits around the sun, and one is headed in the direction of Venus. With the addition in the last two days of two more Discoverers, the United States count of earth satellites still in orbit is now 19 and it has two—Pioneers IV and V—in orbit around the sun.
