Mayor At Reception To Drivers

An air pageant at the opening of Mangere airport might eclipse the New Zealand International Grand Prix as the most important sporting even) in Auckland, the Mayor (Mr D. M. Robinson) told oversea* racing driver* at a reception in the Auckland Town Hall today. Mr Robinson said he had once held two world motor-cycling records himself. For that reason he was particularly interested In motor-cycle and car racing, and had some understanding of the problems the drivers faced.
