Charge Reduced
A charge of dangerous driving against Einer Olgiersson, aged 76, a retired master mariner (Mr K. A. Gough) was amended to one of driving without due care and attention after evidence had been heard in the Lyttelton Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. On the amended charge he was fined £5 with £1 10s costs and £l5 witnesses’ expenses. In “The Press” yesterday it was reported that Olgiersson was found guilty of dangerous driving. The error is regretted.
