Bontavia and Underarm in the Dwyer Memorial Handicap and the Tapanui Handicap respectively,- will be a fancied double combination at the Tapanui Racing Club's annual meeting at Gore on Saturday. Both will be ridden by R. J. Skelton. W. J. Hillis has been engaged for Melodic, the top-weight in the Tapanui Handicap. It will be Hillis’s first ride since he was injured on Tadpole, which fell in the Grand National Steeplechase in August. The weather ha* been fine and thp track will be hard and fast.
