NEW YEAR’S DAY MILK
Afternoon Delivery On Decembr 31
Milk on New Year’s Day will be delivered to Christchurch householders on the afternoon of December 31 instead of the next morning. An application by the Canterbury Milk Vendors’ Association for the delivery was granted unanimously at a meet ing of the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board. In a letter to the board, the association said it understood that the special delivery had operated very successfully for the last two years. It was a service appreciated by consumers, and vendors were able to spend the evening with their families and also avoid the hazards of late traffic.
