Charge Of “Gutter Language’* (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, October 13. Mr Khrushchev dissolved in laughter and buried his head in his hands today when a Philippine delegate be criticised last night referred to the Soviet leader’s “mastery of gutter language.” The Philippine delegate (Mr Lorenzo Sumulong) used “the right of reply” today to reply to Mr Khrushchev’s criticism last night, when he called Mr Sumulong a “lackey.” Mr Sumulong said it was clear he was a good man when he agreed with Mr .Khrushchev, and a bad man when he didn’t He added that he did not want to compete with Mr Khrushchev, on any score, “particularly in his mastery of gutter language." When Mr Sumulong got to the point of protesting that Mr Khrushchev called him a “jerk,” the Soviet leader dissolved in laughter. He buried his head on his desk and his shoulders shook with apparent glee.
