MODERATOR OF PRESBYTERY
Mr C.C. Wilson Elected Mr Clifford C. Wilson, who has been elected Moderator of the Christchurch Presbytery, is only the second layman to hold this position. Mr Wilson has for many years played a prominent part on the affairs of the Presbytery, and is at present treasurer, and also convener, of the finance committee. He is a past president of the Presbyterian Bible Class Union of New Zealand and holds the church’s long-service diploma (25 years). Mr Wilson is an elder of St. Paul’s- Presbyterian Church and secretary of its board of managers, and also formerly served at St. Ninian’s Church, Riccarton. He is also a lay preacher.
Mr W. H. Rose was the other layman who had been moderator. He held office for one year in the 1920’5.
