£30 Monthly Wage Sought In S.A.

A national minimum wage of £3O a month and an end to the reservation of certain jobs for one race only has been recommended by the South African Trades’ Union Council. It also wants Africans to have ’ the right to form and join trade I unions, and legal entrenchment ■of the “rate for the job” principle.
