/Hearings In Gty Next Week The Commission on Education ii New Zealand will sit in the University of Canterbury council loom from Monday to Thursday text week. The sittings will be open to the public. / Two executive members of the Post-primary Teachers’ Association will appear in Christchurch on Monday afternoon to put forward some of the material from the association’s general submission, and Mr M. A. Bull, of the Timaru High School board will make a / personal submission. The programme for the following days is as follows: Tuesday: New Zealand Educational Institute (submissions on intermediate schools, religious instruction, and State aid to private schools); Christchurch Girls’ High School branch of the Postprimary Teachers’ Associationvisiting teachers from the Canterbury Education Board; and North Canterbury Primary School Headmasters’ Association. Wednesday: Christchurch branch of the Teachers’ Colleges’ Association; Christchurch College board of governors; Christ’s College staff; and Mrs E. Locke.
Thursday: New Zealand Speech Therapists’ Association; Mrs M. Rae, a member of the Christchurch East School committee; and the Physical Education Society of New Zealand.
