Meat Support Prices For Season Fixed
The minimum (/rices for thei basic grades of «port meat for the 1960-61 been announced by thewhairman of the Meat Export Wees Committee, A. I. E. Jyies. For lamb and wether mufon the levels for the previous Jfcason have been reduced by jdfcer lb. The basic price for ejjp mutton is unchanged. T# minimum prices for all classes of beef have, however, been ®sed by Id per lb. The mm drum prices for the basic grads of meat for the coming seasfc are as follows, with last seasons prices in parenthesis:— ' Lamb, jfme Down cross, 291 b to 361 b 131 (15? d , Wether/nutton, prime, 491 b to 561 b: 81d/(9d). Ewe mftton, prime 491 b to 561 b: 53d (sjcl Chilled beef, ox 6801 b and under: jjd (13fd). T d heifer quarter beef, good <erage quality ox 6801 b and urfer: 12d (lid). cow beef, good average quality 6001 b and undec; 9 Cd (B’d)J 8 - Boifr, cow, ox and heifer, all
weights, boned out value: Hid (XOJd). Boner bull, all weights, boned : out value. 12d (lid). Veal (sides or quarters) under 2801 b: lOd (9d). Porkers, prime 601 b to 801 b: 15 J d (15Jd). Baconers, prime, 1111 b to 1601 b: 14d (14d). Mr Jones said that the scheme would be administered on the same lines as this and previous i Each basic grade of i meat in the minimum prices i schedule would be used as the factor for assessing the deficiency payment applicable to all grades i of each relative class of export meat.
