OLYMPIC HURDLER TO RETIRE
Pres® Association—Copyng nt t £DEL*AIDE, July 28. The Empire Games champion hurdler, N. Thrower, announced yesterday that she would retire after the Rome Olympics. In Brisbane this year she equalled the world record for for the 80 yards hurdles. She holds the Australian title for the event, as well as the title she won at the last Empire Games, in Cardiff.
