“Disappointing Sale”
(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, July 28. “A disappointing sale,” was the opinion of most brokers and buyers after the first wool sale of the season, held in Wanganui today. Prices were definitely down, but no comparative figures could be obtained tonight “It is difficult to make an accurate comparison with a sale held more than two months ago,” one broker said. “This was the first sale of a new season, and it was mainly crutchings, but most of us had hoped for something better."
