Breweries Proposals Approved

A crowded annual meeting attended by more than 650 stockholders of New Zealand Breweries, Ltd., in Auckland today approved .the capitalisation of £1,520,622 of reserves in a one-for-three bonus issue and the subdivision of each £1 stock unit of capital into four units of 5s each. The meeting, which is the first to be held by the company outside Wellington, took place in the new Lucky brewery opened this week in Khyber Pass road. The company will go to allotment immediately with the bonus .issue, bringing paid capital to £6,842,798, all in 5s stock units. The retiring directors, Messrs R. Q. B. Greenslade, G. S. T. Harden and K. B. Myers, were re-elected to the board.
