Bookmaker Fined £l50
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 29. A fine of £l5O was imposed by Mr W. H. Carson, S.M., upon John Edward Thompson, aged 56. fruiterer, who pleaded guilty in the" Magistrate’s Court today to a charge of bookmaking. The police prosecutor (Mr G. Wells) said that when Thompson was interviewed by police investigators, he admitted having accepted bets.
