New N.Z. Records Recognised (New Zealand Press Association) TIMARU, January 24. The annual conference of the New Zealand Athletic, Cycling, and Axemen's Union In Timaru on Saturday approved the recognition of the following Dominion records, established within the last two years:— K. E. Hutchison (Auckland), 15in Lombardy poplar single-handed sawing, 18Jsec; N. J. Thorbum and M. Reed (Auckland), 18in Lombardy poplar double-handed sawing, Bsec; D. Seymour (Totara Flat, Westland), 14in cedar underhand chop, 24sec; D. Seymour (Totara Flat. Westland), 14in red beech underhand chop, 29 4-sseC.
