PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY ISLAND
Princess Invited By Bishop
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 24. Princess Margaret is to accompany three thousand young people on a pilgrimage next June to Holy Island, Northumberland, where St Aidan established a monastery in the seventh century. The Princess will wade to the island, which is also known as Lindisfarne, during low tide. The Bishop of Durham (the Rt. Rev. M. H. Harlan) said the Princess had been invited after he had heard from her lady-in-waiting that she wished to take part.
