GENERAL WAGE ORDER
Union’s Request To F.O.L. (New Zealand Press Associattom AUCKLAND, January 25. The Northern Drivers’ Union wants a special meeting of the Federation of Labour “to consider appropriate action to ensure that all trade unionists receive the full incorporation of the 24 per cent, general wage order.” The union also felt that the Government should legislate for automatic incorporation, the union’s secretray (Mr G. H. Andersen) said today. Asked to comment on the request for a special conference, the vice-president of the federation (Mr T. L. Skinner) said the outcome of the freezing workers’ request for Incorporation "will condition us for what we should do.”
