They beat the New South Wales' pair, Bob Howe and Bob Hewitt. 6-3, 3-6, 15-13, 7-5. In the women’s doubles final, the visitors Maria Bueno (Brazil) and Christine Truman (Britain) had a runaway win over the Australians, Margaret Smith and Lorraine Coghlan, 6-1, 6-1.
