£lOOO Prize For Widow Mrs Colleen McCollum, of Grey Lynn, whose husband, Desmond McCollum,, died from injuries received in a stock car racing accident early this year, has won second prize of £lOOO in the “Lucky At Last” art union drawn on Tuesday.—(P.A.) Ceremony For Portrait Members of the new North Canterbury Hospital Board will assemble in the vestibule of the Princess Margaret Hospital next Tuesday morning for a brief ceremony in which a specially signed portrait of Princess Margaret will be formally unveiled by Dr. L. C. L. Averill, who was chairman of the hospital’s commissioning committee. Postal Facilities Attendance at the postal counter at the Chief Post Office, Cathedral square, will be extended until 8 p.m. during the period December 14 to 24, the Chief Postmaster (Mr R. Elcock) announced yesterday. The normal closing time is 5.30 p.m. The postal counter will be open for the sale of stamps and for the acceptance of packets for posting. Airport Roundabout Tenders have been called by the City Council for the construction of a traffic roundabout at the main entrance to the Christchurch airport. The jam is mixed with phosphorus and laid in poison lines with a jam “gun.” Of various jams tried, this kind is most favoured by the rabbits. Today it will be at the Wycola shopping centre from 9 a.m. to noon, from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the corner of Carmen and Waterloo roads, and at the corner of Carmen and Main South roads between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
