RATE LEVY IN HALS WELL
Increase Of £2OOO In Four Years During the last four years the general rate levy in the Halswell County has increased from £8742 to £10,946, according to the annual report of the chairman (Mr J. Mackenzie) presented yesterday.- The rateable value now stands at £3.008,655 compared with £2,397.700 in 1957. “It will be seen that in four years the increase in capital value is 25 per cent., all of which has been caused by subdivision and consequent building operations,” said Mr Mackenzie.
