PREPARATIONS FOR ROME
Competitions Over Metric Distances. Recommended (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 1. The management committee of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association will recommend to all athletic centres that in view of the Olympic Games in Rome next year, they hold meetings over metric distances this season. The committee decided thia tonight. The Auckland centre had asked permission to hold metric trials on March 19. The centre was referred to the recommendation to all centres.
