Filipinos To Study In New Zealand
Two Filipinos, Messrs Deogracias Flores and Reynaldo Maraan, arrived in Wellington recently from Manila to study apprenticeship and technical training under the Colombo Plan, Mr Flores is a vocational and technical education supervisor in the Philippines Ministry of Education. Mr Maraan does promotional work in the apprenticeship division of the Philippines Ministry of Labour. They are expected to be in New Zealand for four months. They will study in a number of Government departments, including the Department of Education and the apprenticeship division of the Department of Labour. C.F.C.A.—Gross profit of the Canterbury Farmers’ Co-operative Association. Ltd., Timaru, for the year ended July 31 was £358,259, an increase of £8066. This is shown in the full accounts, an extract from which was published last week. Net profit, already published, is £3036 higher at £47,748, and total dividend requirement (£6OOO preference and £14,434 ordinary) is £20,434. Current liabilities fell £73.609 to £543.866, and current assets fell £37,716 to £1,034,358.
