KUMARA CLUB £56 Profit For Year

(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, September 17. For the seventh successive year, the Kumara Racing Club has made a profit. Although the profit of £56 was small, it maintained the sequence of successful years in which other West Coast clubs had suffered reverses, it was said at the annual meeting. This year the club did well to show a surplus. Attendance at the annual meeting, although the weather was fine, was below aver-age-gate receipts dropped by £6o—and other income had been correspondingly reduced. Mr W. H. G. Stewart was re-

elected president, a post he has held for the last 15 years. Other officers were:— Vice-president, Mr J. Gilbert; committee, Messrs W. Inglis, W. Rochford, T. McGill, W. Bell, H. Sinclair, J. J. Robinson. A. R. McConnon, A. C. Bruhn, S. Stewart, P. Muir and D. Lawson.
