ALY KHAN SOLD
Colt To Go To Melbourne "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. Aly Khan has been sold to a Melbourne partnership at a substantial undisclosed figure, depending on a veterinary inspection tomorrow morning. If he passes the examination he will contest the Hastings Stakes in the interests of his new owners. In Melbourne the colt will be trained by F. Hoysted, jun. A tentative booking has been made for him to travel to Australia on Friday. By Knight’s Romance from Rotopeko, Aly Khan was bred at the West Derby stud, Levin, and was to have been raced in New Zealand by Mr and Mrs A. E. Preston, Wellington. He is a handsome colt and the ability he has shown in juvenile parades ensures him of favouritism in the Hastings Stakes.
