“Laosi” ...?
Sir. —Announcers, both 8.8. C. and N.Z.8.5., seem to have great difficulty with the word Laotian. I would suggest that the adjective from Laos be formed in the same way as Israel (Israeli). Pakistan (Pakistani) and Iraq (Iraqi). Why should we be the only country with a Laosi government?—Yours, etc., BRITANNICUS. August 24, 1959.
