Asked to comment today on the reported offer of New Zealand Breweries, Ltd., to acquire the share capital of Hancock and Company, Ltd., Sir Ernest Davis said; “Rumour for once is not a lying jade. “But I must reserve my remarks until the shareholders have been officially and properly informed by me."
