T.A.B. FIGURE £280,822
The Totalisator Agency Board handled a total of £280,822 15s on Saturday’s four race meetings. This was £36422 104 up on last year’s total of £254406 ss. Saturday’s figure was made up of £145,128 in win and place betting, and £135,384 on doubles. On the corresponding day last year, there were two galloping meetings and two trotting meetings. Wot weather caused the Foxton Racing Club to postpone its meeting. The second trotting meeting last year was at Waikato. This year it was held earlier in the month. The week-end betting statistics were:—■ ADDINGTON On-course: £81,436 16s (down £273 16s). Off-course: £66,240 . (up £3511 15s). PAKURANGA On-course: £127,500 15s (down £7528). Off-course: £92,886 5s (down £27,693 15s). FOXTON On-course: £59,951 (up £12.191). Off-course: £52,929 15s (down £37.861 10s). OTAGO On-course: £26465 16s (down £1844). Off-course: £28.767 (down £1244 10s). Over the two days of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s National meeting at Addington, the totalisator on-eonrse handled £167,729 15s, compared with £163,371 15s last year. Off-course substitutes on Saturday were:— Foxtbn: None required. Addington: Seafield Lad. Otago: Marsana. Pakuranga: Sir Valley.
