iN.Z Pres.* Association — Copyright! MELBOURNE. August 23 Gay Saba caused an upset when he beat the New Zealand-bred Lord in the J J Liston Stakes at Flemington yesterday. Gay Saba, also New Zealand-bred, completed the fourth successive win for outsiders. Gay Saba held off Lord to win by two lengths, with Tudor HUI a head away, third. The Anniversary Handicap at Flemington was won by the New Zealand-bred Royal Somme. It was his third win at the course this year Royal Somme, which started at 9-1. was the shortest priced winner of the nay. Just when Sanvo, which hit the front soon after straightening up. looked aU set for a win.
