HOSPITAL JOB DISPUTE
Minister Calls Conference (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 2. ' The Minister of Labour (Mr Hackett) has called a compulsory conference of parties concerned in the dispute on the National Women’s Hospital project. The dispute arose through the dismissal of a worker who is alleged to have disobeyed a foreman. Mr Hackett said in Auckland today that he hoped a conference would be held in Wellington this week of representatives of the employers, the W. Williamson Construction Company, and the Federation of Labour.
