PEDESTRIAN KILLED
Fatal Accident In Addington A pedestrian died shortly after he was struck by a car in Lincoln road at the intersection of Clarence street at 12.15 a.m. yesterday. He was William King Evans, aged 47, of Clarence street, Addington. Mr Evans was taken by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital, but he was dead on arrival. The car was driven by Roger Charles Meikle, aged 18, of 3 Riley crescent, Woolston.
