PLAYERS INJURED ON OVAL
Stitches Required For Gashes
Three of the players taking part in the Rugby match between High School Old Boys and University on Lancaster Park Oval on Saturday suffered fairly severe gashes which required stitching. Two of the players were the Canteroury representative five-eighths, S. K. Henderson (Old Boys) and S. G. Bremner. Henderson suffered a gash over the right eye which required six stitches He left the’ field just before half-time and returned with his forehead heavily bandaged and a forward's headgear over the bandage. Bremner did not leave the field, but the gash he suffered under his chin also required six stitches. The other casualty was the University prop forward. K. S. Pirie. who had to leave the field after his face had been gashed down the side and close to an eye. This injury required seven stitches.
