Title To Auckland Rider
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 19. C. Herbert (Auckland) won his sixth New Zealand title on Saturday »t East Tamaki when he gained the fastest time in the 25mile piofessional cycling race. The trophy that give the race its name the Cleaver Memorial Cup. was won by a young rider off 6min,| J. Smith (Waitemata). Finishing! behind him in the £7O event were two riders on 7min, M. Ellis (Waitemata) and J Hartland (Auckland).: Herbert, one of the two scratch | riders, finished in Ihr 2min 6sec. i B. McCartney (Waitemata) was 2sec slower.
The fastest junior rider was K Heron (Auckland), 3min, who was flagged in at Ihr 2min 50sec.
