LEADER OF OWNERS
Mr G. J. Barton’s Team Mr G. J. Barton, of Dunedin, owner of the good stayer, Ark Royal, is the leading owner so far this season. Members of the Barton team have won £15.048 10s. Second on the list, with £12,725, is Mr J. G. Alexander, proprietor of the Cranleigh Stud. Drum Roll has been the best winner which has carried the Alexander colours so far this season. Froth’s owner, Mrs J. N. Lowry, is a close third with £12,375. Next are Sir Ernest Davis (£10,465 10s). Mr N. Simpson (£10,285), Mr W. Deutsch (£10,150), Mr I. Robinson (£9135), and Mr W. S. Goosman (£8630). Mr Simpson owns Up and Coming. Mr Deutsch owns Up and Coming’s stablemate. Fountainhead. Sir Ernest Davis’s best winner this season has been Wakatere
