Market For Epsom Derby
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, ftfay 12. The Aly Khan’s colts now lead the field in the Derby market. The event will be run at Epsom on June 3. Saint Crespin 111 is favourite at 5-1, followed by Princillon, also owned by Prince Aly Khan, at 7-1. Parthia and Carnoustie are next, both at 8-1. The Queen’s Above Suspicion was quoted at 33-1. Prices at the callover at the Victoria Club tonight on the Epsome Derby were: 5 to 1 Saint Crespin, 7 to 1 Princillon, 8 to 1 Carnoustie and Parthia, 100 to 7 Agricola, 100 to 6 Shantung, 18 to 1 My Aladdin, 20 to 1 Lindrick, Peterman, and Minstrel, 22 to 1 Masham, 25 to 1 Arvak, Fidalgo and Piping Rock, 33 to 1 Above Suspicion, Belafonte, Casque and Regent, 40 to 1 Love and Marriage.
