EIGHT INJURED IN ACCIDENT
Two Cars Collide Eight occupants of a car involved in a collision with another car at the corner of Halswell Junction road and Springs road at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday all suffered injuries but only one, a child named Jeanette Callender, of 10 Ruru street, Burnham, was admitted to hospital. She suffered head injuries. The car was driven by Mrs Anne Merelene Miles, of Burnham. The passengers consisted of two adults and five children. Her mother, Mrs Isabel Margaret Julius, of 96 Studholme street, was sent home after being treated for two fractured wrists and minor abrasions, according to the police. The car was extensively damaged. \ The driver of the . other car, Redvers Herbert Raxworthy, of Springs road, was badly shaken but was uninjured. His car, which was forced into a power pole, was wrecked.
