Coal
Sir, —Your leading article in yesterday’s issue, referring to the efficient use of coal, is coipmendable. But one thing I should like to add. The New Zealand Mines Department should get busy and spend some of its coal royalties to find new coalfields in New Zealand, particularly on the West Coast. This department is sadly lacking in enterprise, and needs a lot of rejuvenating.—Yours, etc., WEST COAST NATIVE. December 9, 1958.
