G. Wilson sailed a good race with tile Frostply, Euclid, in the Waimakariri Sailing and Power Boat Club’s open handicap yesterday. He finished only 38sec behind the R class. Chaos (H. Blanchard), and won the race comfortably on handicap. The event was held in a strong north-easterly wind, and claimed two casualties, the Frostplys Rufus (G. Cooke) and Virgo (G. Hobson). Rufus foundered during the race and had to withdraw, and the rudder block ob Virgo split and forced its retirement.

Cooke sailed a very good race in Rufus in the final heat of the Aotearoa Cup event on Sunday, and finished five minutes ahead of the other Frostplys. Results were:—
